The Fashions Finest Africa Epic Show event slated to hold from Friday, May 25 to Sunday, May 27, 2018 will now hold from Friday, May 25 to Monday, May 28, 2018.
While the events previously slated for Saturday, May 26 show has been moved to Sunday, May 27 and last leg of the event moved to Monday, May 28.
In a bid to further help improve the Nigerian Fashion Industry, the FFA team has put together a two-day masterclass which will run from Wednesday, May 23, 2018 and Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the NEPC Training Facility, Road, Apapa, Lagos.
The class will focus on the topic ‘How to transform from boutique to Mass Production” and will be facilitated by Jennifer Sutton and Mabel Doe.
The Epic Show will kick off on Friday Morning, with a Fashion conference themed; “Increasing Nigeria’s participation in the Global Garment Production industry”.
Her Excellency Hajia Aisha Abubakar, Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment and Mallam Ismaila Zakari (ICAN President) will all be at the conference and will present some insights into the theme of the conference.
Jennifer Sutton (Development Director, Fashion Enter/Capital Uk) who is the Headline conference speaker will be discussing the growth of the British fashion industry and how the process translates to lessons that can be successfully adapted for the Nigerian Garment/fashion industry.
Sutton and Mabel Doe (Technical consultant/Fashion Technologist)will be joined by other panelists; Mrs Funmi Ajila -Ladipo (FADAN PRESIDENT), Engr. Chris Oputa (CEO Studio 24), Ohimai Atafo (CEO Mai Atafo) and Morin Obaweya (CEO Morin.O) for insightful conversations on the theme of the conference.
The Fashions Finest Africa Awards which seeks to celebrate those who have made a mark in the Nigerian fashion industry will take place afterwards.
On Sunday and Monday, there will be fashion shows featuring student designers, new and emerging designers and established designers out of Africa. Exhibition stands and fashion vendors will also be on ground to allow guests explore and shop for fashion items and accessories from across the continent.
